WESS | Curatorial Collective Initiative
WESS(웨스)는 서울을 기반으로 활동하는 큐레이터들이 공동 운영하는 프로젝트이자 일시적 공간입니다. 이는 각자가 원하는 활동을 위한 물리적 공간의 확보와 주체적이고 지속적인 큐레토리얼 실천의 가능성에 대한 고민으로 기획되었습니다. 독자적으로 활동하고 있는 기획자들의 전시/프로젝트가 연속적으로 하나의 공간에서 일어나며, 각자의 관심사와 태도를 발견할 수 있는 기획자 공동 운영 플랫폼을 시도합니다. WESS(웨스)는 장혜정, 송고은이 공동 조직하였으며 김정현, 김성우, 김선옥, 권혁규, 맹지영, 박수지, 신지현, 이성휘, 최희승이 공동운영자로 합류하여 2019년 10월 시작되었습니다.

WESS is a project and temporary space co-operated by Seoul-based curators, organized to provide a physical space befitting each curator’s activities, as well as a site through which to explore the possibility of autonomous and sustainable curatorial practices.
The exhibition/project by each curator takes place continuously in a single space, attempting to build a joint operating platform where each curator is able to discover his or her interests and outlooks. Launched in October 2019, WESS was co-organized by Hyejung Jang and Goeun Song, and joined by co-curators Junghyun Kim, Sungwoo Kim, Sunok Kim, Hyukgue Kwon, Jeeyoung Maeng, Suzy Park, Jihyun Shin, Sunghui Lee and Heeseung Choi.
